Support Lake County Nonprofits! Give where you live!
Leadville, CO –The Lake County Community Fund invites Coloradans to support efforts to expand the capacity of local organizations, promote and facilitate giving opportunities, and inspire investment in Lake County by donating on Colorado Gives Day, December 5, 2023.
Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy through online giving. The event is powered by ColoradoGives.org, a year-round, online giving platform. Donors can easily search for Lake County nonprofit profiles on the site and make safe and secure donations.
Beginning Nov. 1 and continuing through Gives Day on Dec. 5, all donations made to nonprofits on ColoradoGives.org get a boost from the $1 Million Incentive Fund made possible by FirstBank that increases the impact of every dollar donated.

“Colorado Gives Day is one of our most important fundraisers of the year. Donations help us do more to support the community and ensure that Lake County has an abundance of sustainable philanthropic resources to support a thriving community,” says John McMurtry, Lake County Community Fund executive director. “Our goal is to get a share of the $1 Million Incentive Fund.”
$1 Million Incentive Fund
This year’s $1 Million Incentive Fund is made possible by Colorado Gives Foundation (formerly Community First Foundation) and FirstBank. It increases the donation proportionally and is one of the largest in the country! All participating Colorado Gives Day nonprofits earn a percentage of the fund.
Here’s how it works
If a nonprofit organization receives 10% of the total money raised on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10% of the $1 Million Incentive Fund.
