Nine organizations to update the community on early care and education, and affordable housing at FREIGHT on April 30th, 5-7 pm
Early childhood and education, and affordable housing agencies will update the community on 2023 accomplishments and 2024 goals Tuesday, April 30th from 5 – 7 p.m. at Freight, 320 East 9th Street in Leadville. The “State of the Community” event is sponsored by the Lake County Community Fund, the Herald Democrat, and the City of Leadville.
“We want to recognize and create awareness about the work of our wonderful Lake County agencies working on affordable housing and early childhood and education, and their vision for 2024 and beyond,” Leadville Mayor Dana Greene said.
The event provides these agencies with an opportunity to update community members on past and current projects, roadblocks, and successes, as well as future plans. Nine agencies will make presentations at this year’s State of the Community: Lake County Childcare Coalition, Lake County Housing Coalition, Chaffee Housing Trust, Lake County Leadville Regional Housing Authority, Cloud City Conservation Center, Full Circle of Lake County, Advocates of Lake County, Lake County Government, and the City of Leadville.
“These organizations have a wonderful story to tell,” Greene added.
The event is open to the public and will take place Tuesday, April 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Freight.
Silver Dollar Saloon will provide appetizers and Freight will offer a cash bar.
