2018 Grant Recipients

Recipients were selected through a competitive grant application process.

Advocates of Lake County: Awarded $2,250 to help survivors of domestic violence establish self- sufficiency while leaving abusive relationships, by providing food and transportation assistance, as well as support for payment of medical fees.

Cloud City Wheelers: Awarded $1,700 for Executive Director and Board capacity-building and technical support for pursuing significant funding dollars through grant requests.

Full Circle of Lake County: Awarded $1,200 for youth drug and alcohol prevention programming that promotes positive skills and behavior by engaging youth in music, art and recreation; funds will be used to purchase new DJ equipment for the Boogie Down Productions DJ Club.

Lake County Recreation Department – Archery Program: Awarded $402 for the purchase of safety equipment to use with participants enrolled in youth archery programming.

Lake County School District Youth Council: Awarded $2,465 to support youth leader development in our community through the LCSD Youth Council; grant funds will support a stipend for a Youth Council leader.

Leadville Film Commission: Awarded $550 to purchase video production equipment for community film equipment library.

Leadville Main Street Program: Awarded $2,500 to help revitalize Leadville’s Zaitz Park, located on Harrison Avenue, through a mural and mosaic beautification project.

Lideres Latinoamericanos Leadville: Awarded $4,700 to provide live music and assist with traditional baile folklorico costume creation for Lake County’s 2018 Fiestas Patrias event, scheduled for Saturday, September 8.

St. George’s Community Meals: Awarded $2,000 to support provision of free, hot meals to Leadville/Lake County’s most vulnerable community members; grant funds will be used to purchase a new grill.

Tabor Opera House Preservation Foundation: Awarded $2,233 for the purchase of the front lighting at the Tabor Opera House.
