In August 2018, the LCCF completed a Transfer of Wealth Report, in partnership with the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship/LOCUS. Here’s some of what we learned:
- In the next 20 years, millions of dollars of wealth will transfer out of the Leadville/Lake County community as estates change hands to younger generations.
- Keeping just 5% of that wealth in our community could mean over $3 million would remain in Lake County by 2028.
- By 2038, this could mean as much as $7.5 million!
