LATINO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF COLORADO AWARDS $271,000 TO LAKE COUNTY NONPROFITS

Community-based organizations receive funds as part of the Nonprofit Infrastructure grant program

The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado, in collaboration with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs awarded $271,000 to three Lake County nonprofit organizations to support nonprofit infrastructure and capacity Building.

Awards include:

  • Cloud City Conservation Center, $100,000
  • Full Circle of Lake County, $100,000
  • The Lake County Community Fund, $71,000

The grants were awarded to community-based organizations that have a track record of providing effective, culturally responsive, and relevant programs and services to Colorado communities that have historically been underrepresented, underserved, and/or under resourced.

The Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant was created after the Colorado House Bill 22-1356 was signed into law on June 2022, to help underrepresented communities disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. The emphasis on infrastructure and capacity building intends to help nonprofits build critical staff and boards, while providing funds to proactively invest in the organization’s makeup.

Cloud City Conservation Center fosters pathways to a healthier planet and community through initiatives that inspire the conservation of our natural environment.

Full Circle of Lake County empowers our community through youth development, family supports, immigrant services, and resource connection.

The Lake County Community Fund provides a means to expand the capacity of local organizations, promote and facilitate giving opportunities, and inspire investment in Lake County.

The mission of the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado is to work hand in hand with our diverse communities to create culturally responsive strategies that build influence, equity, and opportunity for all Latino Coloradans.

Please visit the Latino Community Foundation’s website for more information on the role within the Nonprofit Infrastructure grant program.
