Lake County Community Fund Welcomes Angel Bujanda Gutierrez as Executive Director

Leadville, Colorado — The Lake County Community Fund (LCCF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Angel Bujanda Gutierrez as its new Executive Director.

A lifelong Leadville resident, Angel brings both deep roots in the community and a strong record of service to this role. His professional background spans work in Human Services, Community Justice, and the nonprofit sector, where he has focused on supporting individuals and families while strengthening systems that serve the broader community. He has also been actively involved in community-based leadership through Líderes Latinx, advancing meaningful, locally driven impact.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Angel is committed to ensuring that services and opportunities are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse needs of Lake County residents. His leadership is grounded in collaboration, trust, and a deep belief in the power of community.

“As someone who grew up in Leadville, this community has shaped who I am,” Angel said. “I’m honored to step into this role and to work alongside residents, partners, and supporters to continue building a strong, connected, and thriving Lake County.”

As a small rural foundation, LCCF has long been rooted in strong relationships, shared values, and a deep commitment to place. The Board of Directors is confident that Angel’s leadership will carry this legacy forward while guiding the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.

Together with Angel’s leadership, LCCF will continue working alongside community members, nonprofits, donors, and funders to support locally driven solutions that reflect the priorities, strengths, and spirit of Lake County.

“We are thrilled to welcome Angel to LCCF,” said Gloria Perez, President of the Board of Directors. “His dedication to community, combined with his professional experience and collaborative spirit, makes him the right leader for this moment. We look forward to working together to expand opportunities and strengthen the fabric of Lake County.”

The Board remains committed to supporting a strong leadership transition and looks forward to partnering with Angel through ongoing collaboration and shared vision.
