Mike Cowart leads strategic partnerships at Nova Credit, a fintech company that builds tools to help people access credit they’ve earned but the traditional system often misses. His work centers on expanding access to credit for Americans who have been shut out or overlooked.
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mike has lived in seven states, including eleven years in Colorado. He spent most of that time on the Front Range and has called Leadville home for the past three. He puts the same energy into his community that he brings to his work. Together with the local Chamber of Commerce, he runs a Remote Workers Collective that connects and supports the growing number of people building careers at 10,000 feet, and he is a devoted advocate for the town he now calls home.
Outside of work, Mike is happiest in the mountains, running ultramarathons, skiing, and getting to know the high country that brought him here.
