Her Great Grandfather was a State Senator and her Grandfather was in the State House of representatives. Her father was on the Lake County Planning Commission in the 1960’s, the CEO of Climax Molybdenum Company in the 1970’s and 80’s after starting to work in the mine as a young graduate of the Colorado School of Mines.
Leadville and the mountains surrounding the community are home for her. In recent years, property owned by the family and work as a land use planner have brought her back to the community.
