Gloria Perez is a dedicated community leader and longtime resident of Leadville, Colorado, where she has lived for over 30 years. With more than two decades of experience in community service and management, Gloria brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role on the Board. Her professional background includes over 14 years at Lake County Human Services, as well as work with various nonprofit organizations and in the private sector within Lake County.
A lifelong volunteer, Gloria has been actively engaged in the Leadville community from a young age. She is a co-founder and active member of Lideres Latinos Leadville and has contributed her leadership to numerous local initiatives, including the Unmet Needs Committee during the COVID-19 response and recovery, the Homeless Task Force, and the Lake County School District Accountability Committee. She also serves on the Colorado Mountain College Board of Trustees and the Boettcher Foundation Rural Impact Advisory Committee.
Gloria’s past community involvement extends to fundraising for the local soccer field, promoting voter registration within the Latino community, supporting the Lake County School District’s vision planning efforts, and advocating for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
In 2022, Gloria was selected as a fellow in the Boettcher Foundation’s Doers and Difference Makers Fellowship—a nine-month program that celebrates and connects community champions from across Colorado.
A proud graduate of Lake County High School, Gloria holds an associate degree from Colorado Mountain College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in Finance from Regis University. She is also a professionally qualified language interpreter.
Gloria and her husband are the proud parents of three sons: Eddie (25), Fabian (22), and Alexander (14).
