Director
Monica Martinez serves as the Academic Coordinator at Colorado Mountain College and finds deep fulfillment in supporting students at CMC pursuing their educational aspirations. As a first-generation student, she understands the challenges of navigating the college system.
Monica graduated from Lake County High School and received an Associate of Arts Degree from Colorado Mountain College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, and an M.B.A. from the Daniels School of Business, University of Denver.
In addition to her professional roles, Monica also engages in community service and has volunteered with Leadville Trail 100 and St. George Episcopal Church as a volunteer for the Parade of Lights. In addition, she volunteers for the Lake County Build a Generation Food Access Coalition, advocating for food security and equitable access to nutrition for our community’s families.
“I believe that my diverse experiences, combined with a passion for equity and inclusion, position me to contribute meaningfully to the board,” said Monica. “I aim to champion initiatives that foster diversity and promote inclusive growth within the organization.”
