Director
Val D’Angiolini Landis has an extensive background in the nonprofit sector, currently working remotely as the Senior Program Manager of Executive Engagement for the national headquarters of the American Red Cross, based in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she serves as the owner and director of Lake County’s premier dance school, Leadville Dance Collective (LDC).
LDC offers dance technique, dance fitness and tumbling classes for ages 3 to adult, which promote social-emotional development for students of all ages through education and performance opportunities. LDC aims to remove barriers – geographical, financial and beyond – so that anyone can develop a great love of dance while inspiring self-confidence, discipline, a sense of community and a passion for the performing arts.
In her role with the American Red Cross, Val serves as the primary development contact with the President and CEO’s office for all fundraising related activities and initiatives. Val manages, facilitates and provides strategic guidance for principal and major gift fundraising efforts between the organization’s national leadership – including the President and CEO – and individual, corporate and foundation donors. Her work spans cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.
Additionally, she serves as the organization’s primary contact with various nonprofit watchdog groups – including the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Wise Giving Alliance, Charity Navigator, and Candid/GuideStar. This work ensure the American Red Cross meets the high standards of conduct set by these watchdog groups and maintains the organization’s strong reputation and public trust.
Val also provides support for the organization’s Climate Change and Sustainability Initiative, focused on building resiliency in communities by growing operational capacity to address the heightened impacts and quickened pace of natural disasters.
In 2020, she served in an interim role as a Regional Philanthropy Officer for the Red Cross in the Colorado/Wyoming Region. She quickly pivoted fundraising to support the organization’s COVID-19 relief efforts.
Val is a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a Degree in Public Relations and Marketing.
“I am very excited to collaborate and be a part of LCCF’s vital work in Lake County,” said Val D’Angiolini Landis.
