Gloria Perez is a local resident having lived in Leadville for over 30 years. She brings more than 20 years of community service and management experience to the Board. For the past ten years, Gloria has been working for Lake County Human Services as the supervisor for the Lake County
Wraparound, a program that serves children, youth, and families experiencing complex needs.
Prior to the position with Lake County, she served as the property manager at Mountain View Village for four years. Her work experience also includes working as Victim’s Advocate for the Advocates of Lake County and as a Parenting Program Coordinator for Full Circle of Lake County.
Ms. Perez has been an active volunteer in Leadville serving the Latino Lideres Coalition, the Unmet Needs Committee, The Homeless Subcommittee, and The Community Justice Center Workgroup. She has been involved with raising funds for the community soccer field, increasing voter registration among the Latino population, participating with the Lake County School District vision planning, and supporting suicide and mental health awareness.
Gloria has been selected as a fellow to the Boettcher Foundation’s Doers and Difference Makers Fellowship. A nine-month program, the Fellowship seeks to identify, celebrate, elevate, and connect community champions from across Colorado.
A graduate of Lake County High School, Gloria Perez has an Associate degree from Colorado Mountain College, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance from Regis University. In addition, she is a professionally qualified language interpreter.
She and her husband have three sons, Eddie (22), Fabian (19), and Alexander (11).
