Mainstreet businesses and government agencies will update the community on 2022 accomplishments and 2023 goals Thursday, March 30th from 5 – 7 p.m. at Freight, 320 East 9th Street in Leadville. The “State of the Community” event is sponsored by the Lake County Community Fund, the Herald Democrat, and the City of Leadville.
“We want to recognize and create awareness about the work of our wonderful Leadville Mainstreet businesses, restaurants, county and city government, and their vision for 2023 and beyond,” Mayor Greg Labbe said.
The event provides these businesses and agencies with an opportunity to update community members on past and current projects, roadblocks and successes, as well as future plans. Eight businesses and agencies will make presentations at this year’s State of the Community: Leadville Main Street Program, The Historic Preservation Commission, Melanzana, Golden Burro, GiGi’s, Rock Hut, City of Leadville, and Lake County Government.
“Our historic district and community have a wonderful story to tell,” Labbe added.
The event is open to the public and will take place Thursday, March 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Freight. Silver Dollar Saloon will provide appetizers and Freight will offer a cash bar.
